Store Shopping List
Ingredients:
1 lb of Peeled and De-veined Shrimp
1/4 stick of softened or melted Butter
2 tblsp Aah Traditional Basil Pesto
Ready made Pasta

In a mixing bowl, add shrimp, butter and Basil Pesto. Using clean hands or spoon mix until all shrimp is covered with pesto sauce. Cook shrimp in an already heated skillet or grill. This takes about 2-3 minutes to cook. Cook until shrimp are pink. Do not discard the sauce.

Have your pasta on the stand by. If you don't have time to boil, there are great pastas that are found in the perishable department. Follow directions: heat water, put in pasta, until hot: about 3-4 minutes or specified by directions. Drain off any water. Add shrimp and pesto to hot pasta!

Add more pesto if necessary and Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

Quick and easy recipes of Basil Pesto

Hi There,

Cooking chicken breasts or better yet, chicken thighs. I baked chicken thighs in the oven @ 350 for 20-25 minutes, added the pesto and cream with some pasta (angel hair cooks the fastest) and it was a wonderful meal.

Yesterday I made a dip using 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 mayonnaise added about 2 tablespoon of pesto and it came out great. It made about 6-8oz containers.

Last week I took Tilapia Fillets coated one side with pesto, baked in the oven for 10 minutes or cook on stove, flipping first, adding the pesto on the other side (cooked side). It was really nice and stayed on for the duration of the cooking process.

My Aunt took pork chops, covered in pesto and dredged them in Penko (Japanese breadcrumbs) and baked them in the oven. You can fry them too, just like you would bread them. Little oil in a deep skillet, 5 minutes or less on each side depending on thickness.

If you have any pesto left over, buy some store bought pizza dough, spread pesto on it, and top with your ingredients. I like chicken, tomatoes, bacon and red onion, covered with Mozzarella cheese. Works well with the Sun Dried Tomato Basil too.

Hope these have all helped with the use of this flavorful sauce. Love to hear your feedback.

Happy Pesto Cooking

Creamy Penne Pasta with Basil Pesto & Garlic Gulf Shrimp

posted Nov 22, 2010, 5:22 PM by AAH Pesto Admin   [ updated Jul 10, 2011, 8:05 AM by Heather Champagne ]

This beautiful yet unbelievably tasty meal was only about 15 minutes to put together.  We have the aah Pesto Sun Dried Tomato / Basil Pesto jar in the picture but we were only using the aah Pesto Basil Pesto for this meal. It was there for effect. :)  This was a last minute setup and we think it turned out semi pro.

 Qty    Measure    Description
4
  oz
  aah Pesto! Basil Pesto
1
  pint
  Heavy Whipping cream
2
  pound
  Medium sized Gulf Shrimp
3
  tbls
  Butter (salted)
12
  oz
  Penne Pasta
        Salt & Pepper to taste
5
 Cloves
 Garlic (minced)

Start off by cooking the Penne pasta to your desired texture.

While the pasta is cooking you can start on the Gulf shrimp and the aah Pesto Basil Pesto cream sauce.
  1. Take a medium saute pan and add butter, salt & pepper, & garlic.
  2. Heat up to a sizzle, then add shrimp.
  3. Remove from heat just before the shrimp are cooked all the way through
  4. In another medium sauce pot add cream and get it hot enough you can see steam rise
  5. Add aah Pesto Basil Pesto to the cream and stir until it boils
  6. Add shrimp & Pasta and simmer for 1 minute
  7. Serve with your garnish and topping.  Here we topped with a teaspoon of aah Pesto Basil Pesto, some Sun Dried Tomatoes and a light drizzle of Parmesan cheese
